The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that it successfully prevented Ukraine from carrying out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Russian territory.
The attempt was foiled on October 14th, around 17:30 Moscow time. The Ukrainian UAV was destroyed by the Russian air defense forces over the Belgorod region.
This comes after the Russian Defense Ministry previously reported the destruction of 31 UAVs in a single day. According to the ministry, these UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces in areas such as Nyrkovo, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, and others.
Earlier on October 14th, it was reported that five flights had been diverted to alternate aerodromes due to the situation with UAVs over the Black Sea near Kuban.
It has also been revealed that Russian air defense systems have intercepted 19 projectiles from multiple rocket launcher systems, including HIMARS, “Uragan,” and “Olha,” over the past week.
Furthermore, Russia has recently developed a new system for countering drones.
