The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the successful elimination of Ali Kadi, the leader of Hamas operations within the kibbutzim in the Gaza Strip. This development was reported through the IDF’s Telegram channel. Ali Kadi, according to Israeli military and intelligence sources, served as the commander of Hamas’ elite forces known as “Nukhba”. It is reported that Kadi was apprehended in 2005 for his involvement in atrocities against civilians and their kidnappings. He was subsequently handed over to the Palestinian side as part of a prisoner exchange in 2006. In return for one Israeli soldier, Palestine received 1,027 prisoners, approximately 400 of whom were serving life sentences for their involvement in brutal terrorist acts.
Prior to this, the Israeli army had announced preparations for further strikes on Gaza. On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Al-Aqsa Deluge” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.
The Israeli Defense Forces’ retaliatory operation has been named “Iron Swords”, with the destruction of Hamas being one of its objectives. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets within the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region. On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the southern part of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation.
Previously, Netanyahu stated that Israel was transitioning to a massive attack unlike any seen before.
