Israeli Army Detects Rocket Launch from Syria, No Casualties Reported

The Israeli army has discovered the launch of rockets from Syria, which landed in uninhabited areas without causing any harm, according to reports from TASS. “Following reports of sirens, two rockets were launched from Syria towards Israeli territory and fell in open areas,” the statement reads. It is also known that interceptors were not deployed, contrary to protocol.

Earlier, sirens were heard in the city of Ashkelon in Israel. Air raid signals, warning the population of a possible aerial attack, were heard on the evening of October 12 in the northern regions of Israel near the Lebanese border.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the operation “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” Against this backdrop, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war. The operation of the Israel Defense Forces against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu stated the objectives of Israel in the war against Hamas.
