The Iranian mission at the United Nations has issued a statement warning of far-reaching consequences for Israel if its military crimes and apartheid genocide in Gaza are not immediately stopped, according to reports from TASS. The mission’s press service emphasized on social media that “if these military crimes and genocide of Israeli apartheid are not halted immediately, the situation could spiral out of control and result in dire consequences.”
Earlier, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, stated that the Lebanese group Hezbollah could align itself with the Palestinian movement Hamas in the conflict with Israel. On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, capturing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war.
Previously, Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, vowed that the Gaza Strip would remember the “unprecedented response” for the next 50 years.
