We want to inform everyone that the employees of these organizations are still in their positions,” wrote the Hamas representative.
On October 13, the United Nations reported that the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had informed them about the preparation for an attack and the need to evacuate 1.1 million Palestinians within 24 hours to the southern part of the Gaza Strip. This requirement applies to both UN staff members and those seeking shelter in UN facilities. The organization’s representatives believe that the evacuation will lead to a “catastrophic situation” and are urging Israel to reconsider its decision.
