US Government Signs $380 Million Contract with Lockheed Martin for Helicopters for Spain

According to reports from the Pentagon, the US Department of Defense has entered into a contract with defense-industrial conglomerate Lockheed Martin for the production and delivery of eight multi-purpose MH-60R helicopters to the Spanish government. The total value of the contract is approximately $380 million. This news was reported by RIA Novosti.

As per the published information, Lockheed Martin has been awarded a fixed-price contract worth $379.57 million. The contract entails the production and delivery of eight aircraft to the Spanish government. The helicopters are expected to be delivered by March 2027.

Earlier, the Pentagon signed two contracts with US defense companies Raytheon and Lockheed Martin for the modernization and replacement of the portable surface-to-air missile system (Stinger) with a total value of over $730 million. The agreement with Raytheon for the modernization and replacement of Stinger missiles amounted to $418.3 million. The work will be carried out in Tucson, Arizona, and is set to be completed by March 12, 2028.

Previously, the Pentagon disclosed the conditions for Israel regarding the use of American weapons.
