Ukrainian Forces Retreat from Frontline Positions, Loss of Combat Capability Reported

Ukrainian armed forces have reportedly abandoned several key positions and retreated to the second line of defense in the Sinkyovka-Petrovka area on the Kupyansk direction of the ongoing special operation. Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, revealed this information in an interview with RIA Novosti. According to Marochko, a large portion of Ukrainian units has lost their combat capability, with some of them hastily incorporating untrained personnel.

Marochko also stated that one of the foreign mercenary units has left Kharkiv in Ukraine. The day before, the retired lieutenant colonel reported that Ukrainian military forces, utilizing three assault groups consisting of a platoon in each, attempted to break through the Russian defense line and cut off the supply lines to frontline units northwest of the town of Kupyansk. However, their plan was anticipated and thwarted in a timely manner.

Earlier, a member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
