Russia’s New Intercontinental Missile Raises Concerns in the West

The recent testing of Russia’s long-range intercontinental missile, the “Burevestnik,” with a nuclear propulsion system has caused alarm in Western countries, according to an article by Chinese newspaper The Paper’s columnist Tan Zhun. He states that this missile has a “significant capacity for strategic deterrence,” and its emergence has generated serious concerns in the United States and other Western nations. The successful test of this new missile is seen as a demoralizing blow to Russia’s adversaries.

As previously reported by TASS, the missile complex is subsonic, meaning that its prolonged maneuvering capabilities during flight allow it to overcome the defenses of anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems. However, the United States had previously claimed that Russia’s Burevestnik missile was invulnerable.

Earlier, details about Russia’s “Doomsday” missile were also revealed.
