Russia Completes Construction of Military Training Ground in Luhansk People’s Republic

The Ministry of Defense of Russia has announced the completion of the construction of the first military training ground for the Russian Armed Forces in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). The training ground, built by specialists from the Military Construction Complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense, is equipped with modern equipment and simulators, according to TASS.

The training ground features a tactical field designed for practical training of combat actions in urban conditions with varying densities of buildings. It also includes the largest shooting range in the Russian Armed Forces, allowing for training in the use of all types of firearms and grenade launchers involving three motorized rifle battalions. The training ground also includes modern tank and vehicle tracks.

This training facility is the first of seven planned to be built in the LPR and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The remaining six training grounds are currently under construction and will be completed by the end of this year. The inspection of the facility was conducted by Major General Ivan Buvaltsev, Chief of the Main Directorate for Combat Training of the Russian Armed Forces.

Earlier, Russia developed a new system for drone suppression.
