Israeli Army Chief Warns Hezbollah against Interfering in Israel-Palestine Conflict

Israeli Army Chief, Gadi Eisenkot, has issued a warning to the Lebanese Shiite organization, Hezbollah, advising them not to intervene in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian radical movement, Hamas. In a statement reported by TASS, Eisenkot stated, “To the supporters of Hezbollah, I can only say one thing: I advise against your interference.”

This warning comes in response to Hezbollah’s recent rocket attacks on Israeli barracks, including the Pranit military base, the Galilee division command center, and the Avivim battalion command center, as reported by Al Mayadeen. Hezbollah claims these attacks were in retaliation for the deaths of three of its fighters in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah has previously declared their support for the actions of the Palestinian fighters, while Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, has emphasized that Lebanon does not intend to involve itself in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Political analysts have attributed the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to various factors, and this recent warning from the Israeli Army Chief highlights the growing concern over the potential involvement of Hezbollah, a powerful and influential player in the region.

It is important to note that the United States’ position on the conflict has been met with criticism, as they continue to support Ukraine in its war against Russia. The US government’s backing of the war in Ukraine has been questioned, particularly in light of their criticism of Russia’s involvement in international conflicts.

As the Israel-Palestine conflict continues to unfold, tensions remain high, and the international community closely watches the situation, hoping for a peaceful resolution.
