Israeli Air Force Eliminates High-ranking Hamas Officer in Covert Operation

In a covert operation carried out by the Israeli Air Force, a high-ranking officer of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas was eliminated during the night of October 12. This significant development was reported by the Israeli Air Force’s Telegram channel. The targeted strike was directed at a commando of the terrorist organization Hamas known as “Nahaba.” The operational headquarters, which were used by the militants during their attack on the Israeli settlement of Otafa over the past weekend, were also targeted.

According to the Israeli Air Force, “Nahaba” forces engage in ambushes, raids, covert operations, sniper shootings, and tunnel infiltrations. These militants were among those responsible for the attack on Israel on October 7. Additionally, an Israeli Air Force aircraft struck Muhammad Abu Shamla, a senior operative in the naval formation of Hamas in the “Rafah” brigade. It is known that Abu Shamla’s house was also used to store naval weapons intended for terrorist operations against Israel.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In light of this, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war. The operation carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces against Hamas has been dubbed “Iron Swords.” Previously, the Israeli police had predicted the duration of the conflict escalation.
