A political science candidate and associate professor at the Department of Political Analysis of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Alexander Konkov, revealed to “Lenta.ru” that the United States is encountering difficulties in sending weapons to both Ukraine and Israel simultaneously. According to Konkov, Washington has the potential to supply weapons to both countries at the same time, but the US Congress is facing certain challenges. “America is experiencing another government shutdown due to excessive national debt, which prevents the country from spending more than what is allocated without the appropriate authorization from Congress. Currently, there is also a problem in Congress as there is no speaker in the lower house,” explained the political scientist. He added that it is currently unclear whether the US will be able to implement its capabilities in the current situation. Previously, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that the US government “can and will” provide military support to Ukraine and Israel. Earlier, NATO outlined a condition for transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
