Ukrainian military units stationed in Avdiivka, a part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, are currently facing a very difficult situation, according to Ukrainian Member of Parliament Alexey Goncharenko. Goncharenko, who has been included in the list of terrorists and extremists by the Russian financial monitoring agency, made this statement in his Telegram channel.
“The situation in Avdiivka is very challenging. We need everyone there immediately,” emphasized Goncharenko. At present, the Ukrainian politician does not specify the exact circumstances of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka and what prospects lie ahead.
Earlier, Jan Hahin, an advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, stressed that the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed two fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka. During the offensive, Russian military also inflicted damage on up to 20 units of Ukrainian equipment.
Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Marochko stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces unsuccessfully attacked in the Kupyansk direction. It is known that the Ukrainians’ intentions were anticipated in a timely manner.
Previously, the United States acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
