Ukrainian Armed Forces Criticized for Weakness in Avdiivka Battle

Former advisor to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, has accused the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) of weakness in the situation in Avdiivka on his YouTube channel. ” [Commander-in-Chief of the UAF General Valery] Zaluzhny, [Chief of the General Staff of the UAF Lieutenant General Sergey] Shaptala – these are very weak people,” he said, adding that the military leadership of Ukraine cannot do anything. Earlier, a serviceman from one of the UAF units located in the Avdiivka area in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Yegor Firsov, stated that the decisive battle for this settlement had begun. Prior to this, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, revealed that the situation in Avdiivka had changed in recent days. He added that Russian forces were advancing into Avdiivka from two sides, forming a “unique pocket”. According to the Head of the DPR, a significant number of UAF strongholds and warehouses have already been destroyed, both within the settlement itself and at the Avdiivka coke chemical plant. Earlier in Russia, a new drone suppression system was developed.
