The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported in its daily briefing that Russian military forces in the Donetsk region have been able to improve their position on the front line in the area of Avdeevka. The Defense Ministry noted that this improvement was achieved through active actions by the “Southern” group of troops, with support from aviation, artillery fire, and heavy flamethrower systems.
On October 11, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the interception of a Ukrainian drone attack in the Bryansk region. Russian air defense systems successfully shot down the unmanned aerial vehicle. Two Ukrainian drones were also shot down over the Bryansk region during the night of October 11. The previous day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of another UAV attack in the region, with all UAVs failing to reach their intended targets.
Prior to these incidents, Ukrainian drones had targeted infrastructure objects in several areas of the Kursk region. It was reported on October 6 that Russian air defense systems had destroyed 320 Ukrainian drones within a week.
Earlier, Russia had developed a new system for suppressing drones.
