Israel Strikes Hamas Targets in Gaza Strip, Including Banks and Command Center

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced airstrikes on Hamas bank branches and the command center of the northern brigade in the Gaza Strip, according to RIA Novosti. The IDF reported that Israeli fighter jets targeted over 80 locations in Beit Hanoun, including two bank branches used by Hamas for financing terrorism. It is worth noting that one of the bases struck was housing the command center of the northern brigade.

In addition to the bank branches, the IDF also targeted Hamas operational command centers and the Islamic Jihad group (which is banned in Russia), as well as the alleged base located in a mosque. Previously, the IDF stated that they had conducted strikes on Hamas naval targets used by the group for attacks on the Israeli coast.

Earlier reports mentioned that the home of Mohammed Deif, the commander of the Hamas military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, was targeted by the IDF. On October 7th, Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, initiating the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. The IDF operation against Hamas has been named “Operation Iron Swords.”

Previously, Prime Minister Netanyahu outlined Israel’s objectives in the war against Hamas.
