Defense Alleges Delphi Murders Suspect Threatened by Prison Guards Affiliated with Cult

Indiana prosecutors have responded to allegations made by Richard Allen’s defense attorneys, who claimed that the suspect in the Delphi murders is being targeted by prison guards affiliated with a pagan cult. Allen’s attorneys, Andrew Baldwin and Bradley Rozzi, previously accused members of the cult of killing two teenage girls in 2017 and framing Allen as the main suspect in the murders. They further alleged that Allen has been mistreated by guards who are part of the same cult.

According to court filings obtained by FOX 59 Indianapolis, prosecutors have called these claims “unfounded” and lacking any factual basis. They argue that the defense’s accusations are consuming valuable resources and time without any proof to support them.

In sworn affidavits, Westville Correctional Facility Warden John Galipeau, Sgt. Joshua Robinson, and Sgt. Randy Jones denied the allegations made by Allen’s defense team. They stated that they have not abused their power or harassed Allen, and they are not affiliated with the Odinist cult. The warden’s affidavit also clarified that the prison has very few inmates practicing Odinism, and none of them are housed with or near Allen.

Allen’s attorneys also claimed that he is enduring harsh conditions in prison, with limited recreation time and alleged mistreatment by guards. However, the prison officials’ affidavits state that Allen’s compliance with orders has been an issue, leading to incidents where he was tased.

The defense’s previous memo diverted attention from Allen’s connection to the murders and focused on a new theory involving a pagan cult dedicated to Odin. The memo suggested that the girls were ritualistically sacrificed by members of this cult.

The Delphi murders of 14-year-old Liberty “Libby” German and 13-year-old Abigail “Abby” Williams took place in 2017. The case gained widespread attention after a video was recovered from Libby’s cellphone, showing the suspect ordering the girls “down the hill.” Last month, investigators executed a search warrant at Allen’s home and recovered items that matched evidence found at the crime scene.

The ongoing legal battle continues to shed light on the complexities surrounding the case, including the defense’s allegations of a pagan cult’s involvement and mistreatment of Allen by prison guards. Prosecutors, however, maintain that these claims are baseless and divert attention from the evidence against the suspect.

As the trial progresses, more details are expected to emerge, providing a clearer understanding of the events leading up to the tragic murders and the role of Richard Allen in this case.
