Israeli Forces Conduct Operation in Sderot to Eliminate Armed Individuals

Israeli military forces are currently engaged in an operation in the city of Sderot, located in the southern part of the country, with the aim of clearing the area of armed individuals. This information was reported in an official Telegram channel of the Israeli military department.

“The paratrooper brigade is engaged in fierce combat. Brigade commanders and soldiers are conducting searches in the populated areas, neutralizing terrorists,” representatives of the country’s army clarified.

At present, it is known that the clearing of the city from militants is still ongoing. Further details about the operation in Sderot are not provided.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and declared the beginning of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Against this backdrop, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country on October 7.

It was also clarified that on Sunday, October 8, a decision was made to officially declare Israel in a state of war. Thus, the introduction of Clause 40 of the government law, which regulates the procedure for declaring a state of war, was approved.

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu outlined Israel’s goals in the war against Hamas.
