Decrease in Number of Mercenaries in Ukrainian Special Operations, Commander Claims

The commander of the special forces unit “Ahmat,” Major General Apti Alaudinov, has announced a decrease in the number of mercenaries in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) involved in special operations. A video posted on the RT Telegram channel supports his claim.

According to Alaudinov, the massive influx of mercenaries that was observed at the beginning of the special military operation has decreased. He speculates that since these hired fighters found themselves in the conflict zone, they have come to realize the formidable strength of the Russian Armed Forces. Additionally, some of them confess on video that they do not wish to engage in combat with the Russian forces and refuse to participate in the conflict.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the special operation, Russian investigative bodies have initiated criminal cases against more than 200 foreign mercenaries from over 30 countries.

Earlier, the commander of “Ahmat” called on Ukrainians to stage an uprising.
