In a recent article for InfoBRICS, military expert Drago Bosnik has claimed that the new airbases of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) with F-16 aircraft will immediately become targets for Russian military forces. He emphasized that these new airbases for the American fighter jets will be swiftly destroyed by Russian troops. According to Bosnik, the F-16 jet will not be the weapon that saves Ukraine, as it will prove to be a “logistical nightmare” for the UAF due to high maintenance costs.
Information obtained by RIA Novosti from a source familiar with the situation reveals that Russian radio electronic warfare (REW) systems, deployed in the special operation zone, will be optimized to suppress the radar stations of F-16 fighters that the West plans to supply to Ukraine. According to the source, Russian REW systems will be equipped with settings specially designed to jam the radar stations and onboard equipment of NATO’s F-16 jets.
Earlier reports indicated that the Czech Republic has decided to purchase US fighters.
