In a significant development, the Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that over 100 Ukrainian armed forces personnel were killed in the past 24 hours on the Kupiansk and Krasnolimansk directions. The “West” group of the Russian Armed Forces, with support from combat aircraft, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems, successfully repelled five Ukrainian attacks in the area of Makeevka in the Luhansk People’s Republic and Liman in the Kharkiv Oblast. Additionally, Russian forces inflicted defeats on Ukrainian units in the areas of Kupiansk, Sinkyvka, Liman, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered the loss of over 40 personnel, two armored vehicles, two cars, a self-propelled artillery system Krab of Polish production, and an M777 artillery system of US production. Meanwhile, the “Center” group of the Russian Armed Forces, with support from army aviation and artillery, repelled an attack by the assault group of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Chervona Dybrova on the Krasnolimansk direction. The enemy lost more than 65 fighters, as well as two pickup trucks, a self-propelled howitzer “Akatsiya,” two D-30 guns, and one D-20.
In a recent interview with RIA Novosti, Sergey Zybinsky, the spokesperson for the Russian forces, revealed that the “West” group conducted 20 strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kupiansk direction. This development comes after a Ukrainian soldier expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
