Russian military forces have successfully repelled three attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Donetsk region. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in their Telegram channel. According to the ministry, Russian forces encountered enemy groups in the areas of Kurdiumovka, Veseloe, and Severnoe in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
The losses suffered by the enemy forces in this direction amounted to approximately 190 Ukrainian servicemen, three vehicles, a US-made M777 artillery system, and a D-30 howitzer, as listed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Overall, in the span of 24 hours, the enemy’s losses reached up to 225 Ukrainian fighters, along with two combat armored vehicles, two additional vehicles, a D-20 howitzer, and a radio-electronic warfare station.
In the early morning of October 7, soldiers from the 2nd Army Corps of the Southern Grouping of Forces successfully stormed and captured a key position held by Ukrainian military personnel near the village of Berestove in the Donbass region.
