The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Press Office has reported that Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israeli territory this morning, according to TASS news agency. “Over the past half hour, rockets have been launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory. Residents of southern and central regions of Israel are strongly advised to seek shelter and follow the instructions of the Rear Command,” the statement said.
As reported by a correspondent from the RIA Novosti agency, the Gaza Strip fired dozens of rockets towards Israel. It is noted that sirens warning of rocket attacks were heard in Tel Aviv, and the signal was clearly audible in the northern part of the city. Prior to this, an air raid siren began sounding in southern Israel near the border with the Gaza Strip, as well as in the Tel Aviv area.
On September 22, the Israeli army reported strikes on the Gaza Strip. Prior to this, five rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory, which were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system. On October 10, it was reported that the IDF conducted airstrikes on positions of the Syrian Armed Forces located in the eastern part of the country. As a result of the attack, two Syrian military personnel were injured.
Earlier, it was reported that the Hamas movement is preparing for a full-scale war with Israel.
