Israeli Defense Forces Strike Hamas Rocket Command Center in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed to have successfully targeted the central rocket command center of the Hamas group in the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF press service, fighter jets also struck the operational command center belonging to the rocket systems militants of the terrorist organization Hamas, as well as the operational command post belonging to the terrorist organization “Islamic Jihad” (an organization banned in Russia).

Earlier, footage emerged online showing tank units of the IDF being deployed to the Gaza Strip. This follows previous strikes by the IDF on Hamas targets in the region. On October 7th, Hamas forces launched over 5,000 rockets into Israeli territory. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency in the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously vowed to eliminate Hamas.
