In a recent development, a residential building in the Gaza sector collapsed after being targeted by Israeli airstrikes, as reported by Al Arabiya. Video footage of the building collapse was released by RIA Novosti. Prior to the strike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had issued warnings to civilians and urged them to evacuate.
On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory. In response, Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, declared a state of emergency within the country. Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Israel is now in a state of war. The IDF operation against Hamas has been named “Iron Swords”. In retaliation for the attacks, the Israeli Air Force targeted 21 Hamas sites in the Gaza sector.
Earlier, the Israeli police had predicted the duration of the conflict escalation. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange fire and tensions in the region continue to rise.
