Israel has officially declared a state of war readiness in response to ongoing rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, as reported by Reuters. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released a statement announcing their preparedness for war. Currently, the Chief of General Staff is assessing the situation and approving plans for further military operations, according to army officials.
Earlier, the IDF spokesperson stated that Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip had fired rockets towards Israeli territory in the morning. Reports indicate that dozens of rockets were launched from Gaza towards Israel. The warning sirens, alerting residents of rocket attacks, were heard in Tel Aviv and were particularly prominent in the northern part of the city.
Prior to this incident, air raid sirens had sounded in southern Israel, near the border with Gaza, as well as in the Tel Aviv area. On September 22, the Israeli army reported striking targets in the Gaza Strip. This came after five rockets were launched from Gaza towards Israeli territory, which were successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
In a separate development, North Korea recently conducted military exercises simulating nuclear strikes against South Korea.
