Former President Trump Blames Weak US Leadership for Hamas Attack on Israel

Former President Donald Trump has criticized the leadership of the United States, blaming their weakness and ineffectiveness for the recent Hamas attack on Israel. Speaking at a gathering of his supporters in Iowa, Trump argued that Israel had been targeted because it perceives the US as being weak under its current leadership.

Trump pledged that, if reelected as President of the United States, he would expand the support program for Israel and completely halt assistance to Palestine. These remarks come as tensions escalate between Israel and Hamas, with the latter launching thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and announcing the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation.

In response to the attack, Israel initiated the military operation “Iron Swords.” However, the United States expressed surprise at the assault, claiming they were not expecting such an escalation from the Gaza Strip. Reports also suggested that Egypt had warned about a potential attack from the Gaza Strip, prompting discussions at the White House.

The situation has prompted Israeli Defense Minister Galant to declare a state of emergency across the entire country. As the conflict continues to unfold, Trump’s comments highlight the ongoing debate surrounding US support for Israel and the role of American leadership in the region.
