The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Palestinian territory of Gaza has reached 198, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in a statement on their Telegram channel. The aggression by Israel on Gaza has claimed the lives of 198 people, the statement said. The ministry also reported that the number of injured in the Israeli attacks currently stands at 1,610 individuals. Previously, it was reported that 161 people had died and 931 were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
On October 7th, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson announced that terrorists from Gaza had infiltrated Israeli border areas following a massive rocket attack from the enclave. Hamas militants launched rockets at Israeli cities along the border, as well as areas in Tel Aviv. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that the Palestinian radical Islamist movement had declared war on his country. In response, the defense ministry called for a mass mobilization of reservists.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on both Israel and Palestine to cease hostilities. Earlier, the United Nations issued a statement regarding the Hamas attack on Israel.
