In a recent military engagement, Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have reportedly lost approximately 60 personnel. According to the chief spokesperson for the “Center” troop group, Alexander Savchuk, Russian troops successfully repelled seven attacks by UAF in the Torhovyi and Serebriansk forests. Savchuk stated, “Seven attempts by assault groups from the 63rd, 67th mechanized brigades of UAF, and the 5th brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard were thwarted and repelled. The enemy’s casualties amounted to around 60 servicemen.” Additionally, two rocket projectiles fired by the Ukrainian Multiple Launch Rocket System (HIMARS) were shot down by Russian air defense systems. Over 20 Ukrainian artillery positions were suppressed during the counter-battery actions.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the air defense systems on a small missile boat from the Russian Black Sea Fleet successfully destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the coast of Crimea on Friday, October 6, at approximately 22:30.
