Russian Drone Gortenzia Equipped with Thermal Vision for Night Operations

The Russian drone “Gortenzia” has been fitted with a thermal vision camera for combat use, enabling the drone to operate in nocturnal conditions, according to the developer company, as reported by TASS. The KB “Gortenzia” stated that they are currently expanding their line of FPV drones.

“In addition, constant improvements are being made to the control system of the Gortenzia drone, as well as various additional modules on the drone itself, providing more application possibilities for the device. For example, we now have a drone equipped with thermal vision, which means that tasks in the area of special operations can now be carried out at night,” the statement said.

According to the developers, since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the company has deployed over 2500 FPV drones to the frontlines. This month, Russian fighters using these drones have sent over 20 video confirmations of successful operations by the “Gortenzia.”

Earlier, the Russian special forces began using an FPV drone called “Upyr” in the Svatovo – Kremenna direction. Previously, a new drone suppression system was developed in Russia.
