Former Lieutenant Colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Andrey Marochko, has stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reduced their military activity in the Donetsk direction. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
Marochko mentioned that there has been a decrease in shelling on their positions by Ukrainian militants in the vicinity of the settlement of Artemovsk. He added that the actions of the assault groups have become less intense and of shorter duration.
According to Marochko, the enemy is focused on replenishing their losses and regrouping. Previously, Marochko stated that Russian military forces have shifted to offensive actions along the entire front line of the Krasnolimansk direction. He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering fire damage, which the Russian Armed Forces are inflicting evenly across the entire stretch of this direction.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces repelled attacks by the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia) and the assault units of the 21st Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special operation on the Krasnolimansk direction.
Previously, the US acknowledged the failure of the AFU’s counteroffensive.
