Ukraine’s Military Struggles on the Frontline; Crimea’s Leader Criticizes Kiev’s Actions

In a recent interview on the Crimean television channel “Crimea 24,” Sergey Aksyonov, the Head of Crimea, expressed concerns about the problems faced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) not only on the Zaporizhzhia direction but along the entire frontline. Aksyonov stated, “If it weren’t for Western assistance and arms supplies, all of this would have ended within a very short period of time.”

Aksyonov pointed out that Kiev is treating its soldiers as cannon fodder, with no hope of a counteroffensive. He emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities have never placed any value on human life. “For them, the counteroffensive is just a PR stunt. There were high expectations, advertisements, and grandeur, but the reality is the lack of results,” Aksyonov believes.

The Crimea leader credited the absence of strategic success in the so-called counteroffensive primarily to the strength of spirit and military skill of Russian soldiers: servicemen, volunteers, and local militias. “They have no prospect of success in this counteroffensive,” he concluded.

Prior to this, Aksyonov had reported that air defense systems located in Crimea have been reinforced and are ready for possible mass attacks from Ukrainian forces.

Earlier, a group of Ukrainian saboteurs attempted an unsuccessful infiltration into the territory of Crimea.
