Russian Defense Ministry Claims to Shoot Down Ukrainian Drone Over Bryansk Region

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that on October 5th, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down by air defense systems over the Bryansk region. According to RIA Novosti, the ministry emphasized that the UAV, of the aircraft type, was destroyed at approximately 15:00 Moscow time. They assert that the UAV attempted to attack targets on Russian territory.

“The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the Bryansk region by air defense systems,” stated the ministry.

Prior to this incident, the Russian defense department had reported that within a day, their air defense systems had destroyed 58 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). Russian forces retaliated in the area between Rabotino and Verbovo, delivering a powerful strike against the UAF. Russian forces are shelling UAF soldiers with artillery and utilizing FAB-250/500 air bombs. It is worth noting that the enemy’s casualties are increasing due to the large number of civilian vehicles in retreating columns.

Earlier, President Zelensky revealed the challenges faced by Ukraine in shifting the conflict onto Russian territory.
