Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed concern over the insufficient supply of weapons and air defense systems for the counteroffensive operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). In an interview with Sky TG24, Zelensky emphasized that the presence of mined fields, shortage of ammunition, and lack of air defense capabilities pose significant challenges to the UAF.
Zelensky stressed the crucial role of air defense systems in both counteroffensive operations and the protection of civilians. While acknowledging the fatigue within the UAF, he assured that the counteroffensive would continue.
On October 3rd, Zelensky visited the deployment of UAF brigades, where he was shown Leopard 2 tanks and Swedish infantry fighting vehicles CV-90. During the visit, he discussed the operational situation and other relevant matters with brigade commanders.
Earlier, Zelensky had disclosed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from extending the military operations into Russian territory.
