According to Russian military expert Dmitry Kornev, Ukrainian fighters, failing to achieve success on the Zaporizhzhia front, have shifted their focus to another direction, where they will have to contend with complex weaponry. This information was reported by RIA Novosti. Kornev predicts that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to change the situation in their favor by utilizing a new type of weapon.
Kornev foresees that intense combat actions could continue for approximately another month, until the onset of the thaw. During this period, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may attempt to advance on the Southern front, the expert believes. “We have several lines of defense, but the situation is quite challenging. Theoretically, anything is possible,” admitted Kornev.
Significant offensive operations by the Ukrainian side may be postponed until winter, in order to allow the frozen ground to support armored vehicles, Kornev noted. According to Kornev, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may later “rebuild” their tank units and launch another attack against the Russian Armed Forces.
Prior to this, the New York Times discovered that the flexible defense of the Russian army hampers the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding about the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
