Ukrainian forces are currently making unsuccessful attempts to weaken the units of the Russian Armed Forces in order to gain the upper hand in the Krasnolimansk district, according to retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic and military expert Andrey Marochko. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
Marochko stated that the Ukrainian fighters have been attacking the positions of the Russian Armed Forces without success. “The nature of the enemy’s actions indicates that the Ukrainian militants are exerting maximum efforts to weaken our units and trying to reverse the detrimental trend of our troops’ advancement,” Marochko assessed the situation in the Svatove-Kremensk sector.
Furthermore, the expert pointed out that the Ukrainian military is deploying additional forces and reserves originally intended for other directions. It was previously reported that Russian Aerospace Forces intercepted an attempt by Ukrainian Armed Forces paratroopers to land on the territory of Crimea.
