Ukrainian Military Officials Accused of Terrorism and Drone Attacks on Russian Territory

In a recent development, the Russian Investigative Committee has accused high-ranking Ukrainian military officials of committing terrorist acts, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, on Russian territory. The press service of the Russian Investigative Committee revealed this information through the messaging app Telegram.

According to the committee, Russian investigators have gathered substantial evidence linking Ukrainian military officials to the organization and execution of over 100 air strikes using drone aircraft between April of last year and September of the current year. These attacks targeted various regions within the Russian Federation, including Moscow, the Moscow region, Crimea, Sevastopol, Rostov, Belgorod, Bryansk, and several others.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Nikolay Oleshchuk, the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Alexey Neizhpape, and the Commander of the 383rd Separate Regiment of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems of the Ukrainian Air Force, Sergey Burdenyuk, have all been accused of involvement in these acts of terrorism.

The Investigative Committee also stated that these individuals had enlisted their subordinates in the commission of these crimes.

In the near future, the investigation plans to declare Budanov, Oleshchuk, Neizhpape, and Burdenyuk as wanted and to impose a measure of restraint in the form of pretrial detention.

It is worth noting that Russia has recently developed a new system for countering drones.
