Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian drone attempting a terrorist attack over Russian territory, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The incident occurred on October 3rd at around 16:05 Moscow time in the Belgorod region.
The Ministry of Defense stated, “The Kiev regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of aircraft type on objects within Russian territory. The UAV was destroyed by our air defense forces in the Belgorod region.”
Prior to this incident, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) had also attempted a similar attack using a drone in the Bryansk region around 15:00. However, the Russian air defense forces successfully eliminated the UAV in that case as well.
In the past 24 hours, Russian air defense forces have destroyed a total of 58 drones in the area of operation. These drones were targeted and destroyed over populated areas in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR), Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.
Earlier, the Russian military reported losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on two fronts.
