Estonia’s Defense Minister, Hanno Pevkur, expressed his country’s commitment to providing ongoing military support to Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in Kyiv. The Estonian defense ministry’s press service, as cited by RIA Novosti, reported Pevkur’s statement emphasizing the importance of allies maintaining their chosen course of military support for Kyiv.
“We need to mobilize our defense industry on a wartime scale and allow Ukraine to progress on the battlefield at its own pace,” Pevkur’s statement, as quoted by the press service, highlighted. He added that Ukraine requires assistance and support to secure victory in the conflict.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian defense minister provided an overview of the latest developments on the frontlines and the assistance received from Western countries. Pevkur outlined the military aid currently being provided by Estonia to Ukraine and assured that such support will continue in the future.
Earlier, it was reported that Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur had arrived in the Kyiv region for a working visit.
