In a recent statement on his Telegram channel, Vladimir Saldo, the Governor of Kherson Oblast, accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) of purposefully shelling residential areas in Kherson. According to Saldo, the Ukrainian troops intend to attribute these attacks to Russian military actions. “Reports claim that last night, formations of the Kiev regime shelled the area near the bus station – the sound of gunfire was heard nearby, followed by the whistling of projectiles or mines and quick explosions. This means that the shots were fired from close range. In the morning, the microdistrict of HBK was also shelled with mortars from the territory of the ‘Lileya’ tourist base,” Saldo revealed.
Prior to this, Saldo had stated that the Ukrainian military was intimidating the residents of the city of Kherson, which is under the control of Kiev. On September 30, he proposed reaching the city of Izmail in the Odessa Oblast as part of a special military operation.
