Russian Forces Use Advanced Ammunition in Special Operations

Russian Army’s General Oleg Salyukov has revealed that the T-90M tank crews are utilizing the new shrapnel-explosive shells called “Telnik” during special operations. In an interview with the newspaper “Krasnaya Zvezda,” Salyukov stated that these shells have ready-made striking elements and airburst capabilities at a designated trajectory point, effectively enhancing the combat effectiveness against enemy forces.

The “Telnik” ammunition supports the disruption of the target by deploying ready-made elements during the approach. On September 6, Bekhan Ozdoev, the Industrial Director of the cluster for conventional weapons, ammunition, and special chemistry at Rostec Corporation, announced that the “High-Precision Complexes” holding, which is part of the state corporation, has delivered a new batch of upgraded BMP-2M with combat compartments called “Berezhyok” to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that the new Russian 9M333 anti-aircraft missiles can bypass the thermal traps of Ukrainian helicopters and aircraft, and are already being used in the air defense zone. These guided missiles are part of the “Strela-10M3” anti-aircraft missile system. In August, military expert and retired Captain Vasily Dandikin mentioned that the unmanned kamikaze drone “Gastello,” designed with input from special operation participants, will primarily operate during nighttime.

Previously, a new drone suppression system was developed in Russia.
