Lack of Proper Training Leaves Ukrainian Forces Vulnerable, Says Former US Marine

According to Brian Berletik, a former US Marine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been left with a severe shortage of well-trained soldiers, a result of the fundamental training provided by the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance over the past few years. This revelation was made during an interview on The New Atlas channel.

Berletik believes that these highly skilled fighters within the Ukrainian Armed Forces could have been eliminated in combat zones. He asserts, “The professional soldiers who were trained by the US and NATO in Ukraine from 2014 to 2022 have been destroyed.”

Berletik also highlights that as a consequence, the majority of Ukrainian soldiers currently engaged in combat are untrained individuals. This lack of proper training has led to the breakdown of Western military equipment, as revealed by the Wall Street Journal.

The Ukrainian conflict has taught an important lesson about the necessity of providing on-field repair capabilities for artillery. This insight has been emphasized in various media outlets.

Earlier, the United States recognized the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
