Ukrainian publication “Zerkalo Nedeli” has reported a series of explosions in the controlled city of Kherson, causing concern and raising alarms. The report states that a fire broke out in one of the buildings following the explosions, adding to the chaotic situation. This comes after a series of explosions in the Dnipropetrovsk district, with similar incidents also occurring in Kiev and the Lesnoy forest area, as reported by “Strana.ua” on September 30th. Telegram channel “Zerkalo Nedeli” further revealed that explosions also took place in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and near Kramatorsk. The mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, confirmed at least four explosions in the city.
According to available information, on October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began targeting Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, the country has been on high alert, with daily air raids reported in various regions, sometimes across the entire territory. The attacks primarily focus on energy facilities, defense industries, military command centers, and communication infrastructure, as stated by the Ministry of Defense. The Kremlin had previously expressed concerns about the heightened risk of attacks on Russian infrastructure during the winter.
