The Ministry of Defense of Russia has released footage showing the destruction of Ukrainian military positions in the area of Sporne in the Donetsk People’s Republic by artillery units from the Southern Group of Forces. The video clearly shows the targeting and subsequent strike on the Ukrainian positions.
The day before, the commander of the Cossack special forces squad, known as Zenit, informed “Lenta.ru” that the assault platoon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the positions held by their unit near Sporne. According to the military officer, the attack began early in the morning and lasted until almost noon. When the Ukrainian soldiers realized they were on the verge of defeat, they decided to raise white flags as a pretense.
Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense had also published footage of the destruction of a group of infantry from the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by Russian military forces in the area of Kleshcheevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The artillery strike was also carried out by the fourth brigade of the Southern Group of Forces.
Earlier, a Ukrainian soldier had expressed confusion about the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
