Ukrainian Forces Simulate Offensive, Repelled by Russian Troops with Heavy Losses

In a recent statement made by the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, he claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) had simulated an offensive on the Artemivsk direction but were repelled by Russian troops with significant casualties. This statement was published by Pushilin on his Telegram channel.

According to Pushilin, the UAF’s attempt to counterattack was a simulation of large-scale offensive operations towards the towns of Kurdyumovka, Andreevka, and Berkhovka. Prior to this, a source from TASS reported that the UAF special forces were planning to seize the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in early October 2023. The same source also mentioned an anticipated UAF offensive on the Kherson and Zaporizhia directions during the same period. It is noted that the offensive plan was coordinated between the Ukrainian authorities, London, and Washington.

It is reported that the UAF has concentrated a significant grouping of naval infantry in the Nikolaev region to cross the Dnieper River. Earlier, the Kremlin assessed the risk of intensified attacks on Russian infrastructure by winter.
