Russia’s Autumn Conscription Begins on October 1st, Excluding Some Northern Regions

Russia’s autumn conscription is set to commence on October 1st, as announced by Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, Deputy Chief of the Main Organizational-Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces during a briefing. This nationwide conscription will take place in all regions of the Russian Federation, with the exception of certain areas in the Far North. In these specific regions, citizens will be called up for military service from November 1st to December 31st, according to Tsimlyansky.

Furthermore, Tsimlyansky revealed that the dispatch of conscripts from collection points is scheduled to begin on October 16th. He also emphasized that conscripts will not be sent to the special operation zone in Ukraine or to the locations of the Russian Armed Forces in new Russian territories.

The Russian General Staff representative also provided an overview of the results of the spring conscription campaign, highlighting the regions where the conscription process was most efficiently organized. Earlier, President Putin shared his vision for the future of the Russian army.
