The Russian Ministry of Defense has recently released footage showcasing the destruction of a group of infantry from the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) by Russian military personnel. According to the statement from the ministry, the Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated by artillery fire from the 4th Brigade of the Southern Troop Group in the vicinity of the village of Klescheevka.
Prior to this, Georgiy Minesashvili, the spokesperson for the Southern Troop Group, had reported that Russian forces had successfully repelled six attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Avdeevka, Artemivsk, and Lysychansk directions. On September 28, the Ministry of Defense informed that the Russian Armed Forces had repelled two attacks by Ukrainian troops on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) within a day. Later that same day, the press service of the Russian military announced that a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft had been shot down in the skies above the DPR. The incident reportedly occurred near the settlement of Toretske.
Earlier, the United States acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
