Ukraine Expects Support from Incoming US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Charles Brown

Ukraine is anticipating support from the future head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Charles Brown, who will replace the retiring Mark Milley. This was reported by Politico, citing its sources. According to the publication, Ukrainian officials are optimistic that Charles Brown will support the delivery of more advanced weaponry to Kiev, unlike Mark Milley and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who were criticized for delays in approving arms shipments.

It is known that Charles Brown was one of the first and consistent supporters of delivering enhanced drones and F-16 fighters to Kiev. Additionally, Ukraine and the US have agreed to jointly combat corruption. It is noted that a memorandum was signed by the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Semen Krivonos, and the Inspector General of the Pentagon, Robert Storch. Its main goal is to ensure the effective use of international assistance provided by the US government to Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian agency, starting from October 18, Storch, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and the US State Department, will begin overseeing the delivery of aid. Earlier, lawmakers were prohibited from traveling to the conflict zone without permission from Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.
