Russian Defense Ministry Claims Destruction of 57 Ukrainian Drones in Eastern Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported the destruction of 57 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a span of 24 hours. According to the ministry, the UAVs were destroyed in various areas, including Artemivsk, Spartak, Nevelske, and Novopetrivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), as well as Lisichansk in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). The attacks also targeted the regions of Krynyky and Kazachyi Lageri in the Kherson Oblast, Veliky Vysselok in the Kharkiv Oblast, and Tokmak and Polohy in the Zaporizhia Oblast.

This announcement follows the earlier reports from the Ministry of Defense, stating that the Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled two attacks by Ukrainian military in the Zaporizhia Oblast. On September 13th, Denis Pushilin, the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, revealed the losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during their attempted assault on the town of Opytne. Pushilin dismissed the Ukrainian side’s claims that they had established a foothold in Opytne as false.

Prior to this, three Ukrainian soldiers crossed the Dnipro River and surrendered to the Russian military.
