Guard Lieutenant Colonel Artem Kazantsev, in an interview with Tsargrad.tv, shared his experiences working in the zone of a special military operation. One of his main tasks as a serviceman was to evacuate the civilian population in Donbass. According to him, Russian fighters not only saved citizens from artillery shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), but also solved issues related to food, water, and medicine.
Kazantsev emphasized that they also had to debunk the myths spread by Kiev’s propaganda. According to these false narratives, “residents of Donbass should never venture into Russian-controlled territories, as they would be turned into slaves and sent to special settlements in Siberia.” Despite various forms of disinformation, Russian military personnel risked their lives to carry out evacuation tasks and provide the residents with essential supplies, including food, water, and medication.
In April, Ukraine’s Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Alexei Danilov, stated on his Twitter account that there is no place for Russian-speaking people in the country. He made this statement after a member of the Verkhovna Rada, Maxim Buzhansky, refused to switch to the Ukrainian language during a television interview.
